Want to learn to row but don't know where to begin?

Step 1: National Learn to Row Day
USRowing's National Learn to Row Day is Saturday June 9th - the LionsRC will celebrate with an OPEN HOUSE from 9am-noon that day. You will be introduced to the sport of rowing, the boathouse, our coaches, and the equipment. This is a great time to come and ask questions about our Learn to Row Camps.

Step 2: National Learn to Row Camps
Learn to Row Camps are held:
Monday - Thursday evenings:     6:30-8pm
Saturday mornings:                       9:00-11am

Each Camp covers 2 weeks. Learning to row is a long process. It takes patience and consistency to work on your technique. As the technique improves, you can begin to add power to your stroke and each session becomes more fitness oriented.

Learn To Row Camp I:         June 11-23rd
Learn To Row Camp II:        June 25-July 6th
(no camp on Wed. July 4th.)
Learn To Row Camp III:       July 9-21
Learn To Row Camp IV:      July 23- August 4

Step 3: Join Lions Rowing Club!
Learn to Row campers will be able to join the LionsRC to continue their rowing at the beginning of "Session I" on September 1st. Prior to September 1st, we highly recommend signing up for as many LTR Camps as possible. This way, you will be ready to join in with our experienced club members when your membership begins in September.

To find out more about our Learn to Row program, email our Director.

Private Lessons
Learning to row outside of the summer camps can also be accomplished through private lessons.

Potential members looking to take private lessons as a way of learning to row must take a minimum of 6 private sessions within 8 weeks, and must become LionsRC members before their 15th lesson.

The cost of private lessons is $90/session for 1-2 participants, and $120/session for up to 4 participants.

Email our Director if you are looking to begin a series of private lessons.
